Red Demon Football Team Begins Practice Focused On A Purpose

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Tuesday was only the second day of practice, but already the Dodge City High School football team was feeling good.  Head Coach Dave Foster is excited to see his players soak it all in.

The Red Demon offense will rest on the shoulders of senior quarterback Caden Walters.  The returning starter threw for a little more than 2,300 yards and had 19 touchdown passes with just seven interceptions.

Coach Foster knows Walters’ ability to make plays takes a lot of pressure off his teammates.   Walters knows how this offense is supposed to work and he is comfortable with being the one running the controls.

As if Walters did not need any additional motivation, last year’s team saw their season end with three consecutive losses to finish 4-5.

Practices continue until Saturday when the team will wrap up the first week with an intrasquad at Memorial Stadium beginning at 10:30 in the morning.
