Gladys M. Blake, 98, died September 18, 2015 at the Home Again Senior Living Center in Haviland, Kansas. She was born on January 8, 1917 at Gray County, KS the daughter of James and Lattie (Edwards) Brock . 

She married Dayle Blake on April 2, 1938 in Wichita, Kansas, he preceded her in death on November 21, 1974. Mrs. Blake has been a Dodge City resident since 1935. She worked as a greeter at the Teachers Hall of Fame, and also volunteered at the Salvation Army for many years. Gladys really enjoyed living at the Park Plaza Towers and was very active in all their activities. She also sold clothing for many years as well. 

She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. 

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Salvation Army Auxiliary all of Dodge City. 

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Dodge City with Rev. Jerre Nolte presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no public visitation .
