Jose D. Vega
Jose D. Vega, age 71, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. He was born July 1, 1944 in Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Pedro and Maria (del Refugio Quezada) Vega.
He had been a resident of Liberal since 1993.
He worked in the oil fields as a derrick hand.
He was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church in Liberal.
On December 26, 1973, he married Gloria Gonzales in Hugoton, KS. She survives.

1 Son Jose Vega and wife Janeth; Liberal, KS, 4 Daughters Sylvia Romo and husband Carlos; Green Forest, AR, Victoria Landavazo and husband Leonardo; Luther, OK and Gloria Gandara and husband Alonso; Liberal, KS, Monica Vega; St. Marys, MD. 2 Brothers Manuel Vega; Mexico, Jesus Manuel Vega; Mexico, 4 Sisters Aida Vega; Liberal, KS, Velia Vega; Huston, TX, Maria Vega and husband Cecilio; El Paso, TX and Celia Vega; Mexico.
13 Grandchildren Alejandro Romo, Eric Romo, Irvin Landavazo, Isaac Landavazo, Gaby Landavazo, Karen Landavazo, Yahir Landavazo, Jaziel Landavazo, Axel Landavazo, Valeria Gandara, Sofia Gandara, Dianiley Vega and Jose Vega III.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Brother Ruben Vega and 1 Sister Bertha Vega.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 10, 2015, at the Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church with Pastor Bernabe Aguilar presiding. Burial will be in the Liberal Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 to 5 pm Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
