Vandella F. Grusing

Vandella F. Grusing, age 92, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Wichita County Health Center Long Term Care in Leoti, Kansas. Van was born January 30, 1923 in Woodward, Oklahoma, the daughter of Gould & Tracy ( Builta ) Moore. A long term resident of Leoti, Kansas she was formerly the Owner and Operator of Van’s Clip & Curl.

Van attended both the First Baptist Church and Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas and held membership in the Kansas Board of Cosmetology, and sat on the Board of Directors of the Garden City College Cosmetology Board.

On December 3, 1939 she married Bernhart “Ben” Grusing in Wichita County, Kansas. Ben passed away on April 4, 2000 in Denver, Colorado.

Van’s surviving family includes-

Four Children-

Ray Grusing- Leoti, Kansas

Dale & Vicki Grusing- Pawhuska, Oklahoma

Judy & Duane Woods- Leoti, Kansas

Butch & Barb Grusing Colorado Springs, Colorado

Nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverends Gary Salmans and Kyle Evans officiating. Burial will be in Lydia Cemetery in Southeast Wichita County, Kansas.
