Jackie Widows, 63 died Friday, February 12, 2016 at her home in Garden City. She was born March 11, 1952 in Garden City the daughter of Gilbert Raymond & Claradella (Horton) Widows.
Jackie lived her entire life in the Garden City area. She attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1970. She worked for several years for Butler Manufacturing Co. before becoming the farm manager for Starvation Ranch. Jackie was an avid reader and avid softball player who played with Fansler Tires. She also enjoyed bowling, playing golf, fishing, painting, sewing, quilting and farming.  
Survivors include two brothers Les Widows of Garden City, Ks. and Thomas Widows of Hutchinson, Ks.; two sisters Sue & husband Michael Hahn of Garden City, Ks. and W. Joyce Roberts of Salina, Ks.; nieces and nephews Launda & husband Ted Herman of Eden Prairie, Mn., Susan Hahn of Garden City, Ks., Naomi Munoz of Topeka, Ks., Jeremiah & wife Jackie Herwig of Salina, Ks., Raymond Widows of Pheonix, Az., Adam & wife Heather Belben of Kearney, Mo., and Erin Belben of Kearney, Mo., and great nieces Brooklynne, Jaden, Destannee, Sadie, Brynn, and Marissa. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Shellie Belben and Della Ray Widows.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Von Hunn officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday all at Garnand Funeral Home. The family requests memorials given to the American Heart Association, the Finney County Senior Center, or the Sandsage Bison Range & Wildlife Area all in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
