Dixie Lee Keksi, age 64, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on November 28, 1951 in Eads, Colorado, the daughter of William Thomas and Marjorie Vee Root Osborn. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 2007, she was a custodian at USD#466 in Scott City, Kansas.

Dixie grew up in Towner, Colorado and went to Plainview Junior-Senior High School where she graduated. She lived to Lamar, Colorado, Wichita, Kansas and Reno, Nevada before moving to Scott City, Kansas. Where she made many friends.

She was very independent in her life. She always knew exactly what she wanted up until the very end of life. She was very cantankerous and loved working around the kids at the schools and enjoyed spending time with the teachers. Dixie appreciated having the community help her out in her time of need.

Survivors include her Two Sons – William Chad Elam of Reno, Nevada, Greg Alan Keksi of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother – Robert Osborn of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Three Sisters – Mary Gutherie of Pritchett, Colorado, Leslie McCue of Holcomb, Kansas, Kathy Mathes of Goodland, Kansas, Two Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and One Sister – Doris Bennett.

Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 with Steve Payne presiding.
