Another sweep! Scott City softball takes two from Elkhart

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Scott City coach Erin Myers had a feeling that Monday’s doubleheader with Elkhart would be a challenge. Coming off a doubleheader sweep against league foe Holcomb on Friday, the Lady Beavers continued their winning ways, sweeping the Lady Wildcats, with a 10-3 game one win and finishing the sweep with a 14-4 win that was called in the bottom of the sixth inning due to the 10-run rule.

After dropping their first two games of the season, Scott City has now won six straight, which is one of their longest winning streaks in quite some time.

The Lady Beavers are now 6-2 on the season, and will hit the road for a doubleheader at Lakin on Tuesday, and play their final home doubleheader against Colby on Friday. Elkhart dropped to 6-6, and hosts Dodge City on Tuesday.
