Garden City soccer advances in North Cup

Wichita, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-All season, the Garden City girls soccer team has had their struggles trying to score. 

All of those were a distant memory on Monday. 

Tiffany Butler scored four times, and the Buffaloes out shot Wichita West 21-2 in a 7-1 victory in the first round of the Wichita North Cup. 

Butler scored three goals in the first 29 minutes of the match. 

After West got on the board early in the second half, Emmeline Gomez scored off an assist from Butler in the 50th minute to make it 4-1. Elysse Salazar and Butler followed with goals in a six-minute span before Sofia Tran finished things off in the 63rd minute.
