State AG Confident Legislature Meeting Equity Requirement on School Funding

Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Another round in the battle over school funding was argued before the State Supreme Court a couple of weeks ago. Step one to take on equity in funding for each school district something State Attorney General Derek Schmidt believes the legislature did.

In this latest battle the squabble is not over as much as you might think.

Schmidt does not want the ruling to negatively effect the other 99 percent of state education funding. Both sides are hopeful the decision will come quickly.
