GCHS cross country boys and girls place second and third at WAC

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-The Garden City girls placed third while the boys finished second at the WAC cross country championships Thursday at Mariah Hills Golf Course. 

For the girls, Mikaylee Longoria placed fifth overall while Sidney Scott finished 13th. Abby Murrell was 16th followed by Georgia Kohlhorst at 19 and Cara Hopkins at 22. Raegan Linenberger finished 25th. 

On the boys side-Garden City finished as the runner-up behind Dodge City. Marcus Tula placed econd overall with a time of 16:23. Eric Chaparro was 12 seconds behind his teammate; he finished third while Javier Cervantes placed seventh. Jesus Quintero was 21st followed by Kevin Perez at 23 and Alejandro Aguilar at 24.
