Southwest Kansas Has at Least Three Inches of Accumulation
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) According to Kandive.org almost the entire listening area has slick spots. K25, US 56 and K190 are completely snow covered, plus US 54 towards Liberal. Even in spots that road crews worked on yesterday they could have refrozen over night.
Some damage was reported from a downed powerline North of Soule near First Avenue in Dodge City. Crews had to take the substation down in order to repair the damage.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike Umscheid reports much of Western Kansas experienced some significant snowfall.
There is some good news ahead.
Temperatures by Monday will be in the 50’s.
