All-GWAC Baseball and Softball selections
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–With the conclusion of the 2017 spring season, the Great West Activities Conference has recently selected their all-league selections for baseball and softball.
For baseball, Holcomb had the most selections with four first team members, and had a total of eight selections. Goodland had a total of five selections. Colby won the GWAC title, while the Longhorns won the Class 4A, Division II State Championship on Friday night.
On the softball side, it was a balanced field just like the league schedule. Holcomb had four first team selections, while Goodland and Scott City had three. The Longhorns, along with the Cowgirls, had a total of six selections, while Scott City had five. Ulysses won the GWAC title, while Goodland qualified for the Class 4A, DII State Tournament, before being knocked out in the first round.
