Severe Storms Hit SW Kansas

SevereWeather

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Several severe storms hit the Western Kansas Broadcast Center listening area last night. The first warning began to come down about 3:15 yesterday afternoon and a tornado watch was in affect until 10. We did have multiple tornado warnings in the area, but have not received confirmation of any touch downs.

Gilbert Valerio the Finney County Emergency Management Director tell us about the damage reports he’s received.

Today’s forecast is much better mostly sunny with a high of 78, but the risk of severe weather will return to the area on Thursday.
