Caroline Grace Harms
Caroline Grace Harms, 61, died June 3, 2017 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City.
She was born on November 8, 1955, in Dodge City, the daughter of Leonard and Florence (Kidd) Harms. Caroline was a 1973 graduate of Jetmore High School. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in 1977 and a Master’s Degree in 1980 in Education from Emporia State University.
Caroline’s career included the operation of the preschool, Hickory Dickory Dock in Dodge City, and teaching elementary and special education for schools in Kansas, New Mexico and Colorado.
Survivors include her companion and family friend, Harold Gabel of Dodge City; two sisters, Karla (Dennis) Goodhart of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Karen (John) Hamilton of Dodge City.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents.
Private family services will be held at a later date. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
The family suggests memorials to the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas, in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
