GC PD Conducting Insurance Checks This Weekend

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. Garden City Police will be conducting insurance checks in a high traffic area in the city.

Vehicles in the check lane will be stopped to verify their insurance status. Those found in violation will be cited.

A first offense citation runs $300.00 and includes $95.00 in court fees. The check lane is an effort by the department to reduce the amount of drivers in Garden City that are driving without motor vehicle liability insurance.
