Garden City Woman Arrested for Aggravated Battery

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Monday July 10 at 1:58 a.m. Garden City Police were sent to 700 Safford St. for a woman who been run over by a vehicle.

The investigation revealed the suspect Diane Wagner, 57, came to the residence to pick up her grandson. An argument occurred and Wagner attempted to leave with the child in her vehicle. 

The victim tried to remove the child from the car as Wagner was leaving. The victim was dragged down the clinging to the vehicle until she lost her grip and her legs were run over by the rear wheel. 

The victim was transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital and was treated and released for minor injuries. Wagner was arrested and put in Finney County Jail. She could be charged with Aggravated Battery.
