Fatality Accident in Ford Co. Tuesday
Ford County, KS(westernkansasnews.com) A head on collision in Ford County Tuesday morning killed a California man. The accident occurred at 6:19 a.m. on US Highway 283 milepost 36.8 or 14 miles South of Doge City.
Vehicle 1 was southbound on U283. Vehicle 2 was northbound. Vehicle 1 went left of center hitting vehicle 2 head-on.
The driver of vehicle 1 Michael Pestano, 58, of Hemet, CA was killed in the crash. The driver of the second vehicle a 48-year-old woman from Randolph, TX was taken to Western Plains for her injuries. The passenger of vehicle 2 was not injured.
