Red Demon Soccer holds on to beat Great Bend

 

Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Tuesday night the Dodge City High School boys soccer team beat Great Bend 1-0 on senior night. The win keeps the Red Demons unbeaten at 13-0 and 7-0 in WAC play.

Dodge City was held scoreless in the first half, but scored early in the second half when Mario Martinez scored.

The Red Demons celebrated their 13 seniors before the game: Miguel Baca, Francisco Cayetano, Steven Chavez, Eddie Del Toro, Joshua Donjuan, Hector Garcia, Jesus Herrera, Mario Martinez, Alejandro Rojas, Cesar Alvarez, Daniel Gogan, Omar Estrada and Cesar Alvarado.

Dodge City is ranked number 6 in the country according to top drawer soccer this week. The Red Demons are ranked number 2 in region VII according to USA Today.

Dodge City is back in action Saturday in a big showdown at St. Thomas Aquinas at 7 p.m.
