All-GWAC Teams announced

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The 2017-18 season saw some of the most competitive league races since the inception of the Great West Activities Conference. Recently, the All-League selections for the GWAC boys and girls teams have been released.

On the girls side, only one representative from each school garnered first-team honors. Scott City and Ulysses would have four overall selections, while Colby, Holcomb and Hugoton would receive two selections each, and Goodland had one. Scott City won the GWAC Title outright for the first time, and qualified for the Class 3A State Tournament, while Hugoton tied Ulysses for second place, and finished third in Class 4A, Division II.

As for the boys, Holcomb had two first team selections, and four overall selections to the all-league teams. Goodland also had four selections overall, while Hugoton had three, and  Colby, Scott City and Ulysses each had two. Holcomb won the GWAC title for the second straight year outright, and finished second in Class 4A, Division II.
