Buffs and Red Demon hoops place two on All-WAC

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) All-WAC awards for basketball were announced Monday. On the boys side Garden City and Dodge City each had two players on the teams.

Highlighting the boys team was Player of the Year Ethan Nunnery from Hays. Nunnery averaged 13 points per game while leading the Indians to an 8-0 WAC record. Hays Head Coach Rick Keltner was also named Coach of the Year.

Garden City and Dodge City each placed one on the girls teams. The girls team was led by Liberal’s Katie Horyna, who was named Player of the Year after leading the Lady Redskins to a conference championship. Liberal Head Coach Carter Kruger was named Coach of the Year.
