Edward Charles Milligan, age 65, of Garden City, Kansas, peacefully passed away on March 27, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Ed was born on August, 4, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the son of Donald Andrew Milligan and Julia Elaine (Todink) Milligan.

Ed was a classic car lover and member of “The Old Friends of Southwest Kansas.” He was a McDonald’s Owner/Operator of 6 restaurants in Southwest Kansas for almost 24 years. Ed was also a lifetime member of the NRA.

Ed married his high school sweetheart, Oveta Christine (Ourderkirk) Milligan on April 21, 1971. He is survived by four sisters: Marianne (Milligan) Rehnberg of Miller, Nebraska; Janet (David) Chapman of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; Sharon Milligan of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; and Kathy Milligan of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; three children: Christine (Richard) Greer, of Gardner, Kansas; Tammy (James) Heideman of Kansas City, Missouri; Jason (Christina) Milligan of Holcomb, Kansas; 7 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Julia Milligan, sister, Janice Milligan, Brothers; George Milligan, and James Milligan, his nephew Ronald Burman, and his “favorite” niece, Melissa (Milligan) Foreman.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Ed will be laid to rest in his hometown of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

There will be no calling times.
