Damage Report from strong winds Tuesday

High winds caused problems across Southwest Kansas Tuesday night. The highest wind gust reported was 75 mph in Garden City, Dodge City had a report of a 65 mph gust.

According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City a pivot in Gray County was overturned by the winds. Also in Edwards County a semi rollover was reported on highway 50. A carport was damaged on the Northside of Kinsley and an irrigation sprinkler was totaled 6 miles South of Ingles.

According to Garden City Electric Services the wind caused brief power outages in the NW part of town for about 700 customers.

In Dodge City Victory Electric has reported five broken power poles. The broken poles caused outages for about 150 people.
