Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–As the page has turned to the final month of the season for baseball, Scott City and Ulysses battled in a GWAC doubleheader on Tuesday in Scott City. Ulysses 15, Scott City 5, Game 1 (5 inn.)
Things looked good for Scott City in the first game early on, as they grabbed a run in the first and the second inning to take a 2-0 lead heading into the third inning. Aaron Hoopes scored the first run of the game on a two-out Ulysses error in the first inning, and in the second, Jeffrey Nix drove in Kevin Herman on an RBI groundout.
