Storm drops baseball sized hail in Scott County

Scott County, KS(westernkansasnews.com) A powerful isolated storm moved through Scott and Lane County Monday. The storm at times produced up to 90 mph winds and baseball sized hail.

The storm dumped baseball sized hail North of Scott City, just North of Grigston and two miles North of Amy according to the National Weather Service in Dodge City. The storm regressed as it moved into Lane County and dropped golf ball sized hail around Dighton.

Early damage reports said there were several broken windows and damage to homes and cars in both Scott and Lane County.
