Update: Dodge City school put under brief lockdown for BB gun shooting

 

Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Linn Elementary School was placed under a 30 minute lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a teacher saw a man near school grounds with a BB gun.

The suspect was quickly apprehended by the Dodge City Police Department and will be facing charges for shooting a BB gun. According to school officials they followed protocol and the school was never in any danger.

Update: The Dodge City Police Department has issued a press release saying they arrested a 58 year old Dodge City man in the field West of the school. The man was arrested without incident. The male never entered the school property nor did he make any threats to anyone at the school. The male was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Ford County Jail.
