Garden City man killed in car accident in Finney County
FINNEY COUNTY, Kan. — A crash south of Garden City on Friday morning has left one man deceased. The accident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. when Mark Todd Goodwin, 55, of Garden City was traveling southbound on Old Highway 83 south of Garden City when he realized he was driving in the wrong lane. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s crash log, Goodwin veered over the center line, that’s when his 2004 Toyota Tundra flipped and rolled 3 1/4 times.
He was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City where he was pronounced dead at 8:30 a.m. According to the KHP, it is unsure as to if Goodwin was wearing his seat belt or not.
