Emergency repairs on Finney County bridge to begin Monday

Emergency repairs to the U.S. 83 bridge located south of the Fulton Street overpass on U.S. 50/83/400 on the Garden City bypass will begin on Monday, Oct. 7.  The bridge rail and deck were recently damaged in an accident and must be repaired at this time.  

Traffic will remain open during the repairs with traffic moved to the southbound lane and shoulder and the speed limit reduced to 45 mph during the project.  KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs and be prepared to stop. 

Wildcat Construction Company, Inc. of Wichita is the contractor on this project which is expected to be completed in approximately 14 days.
