Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Scott City and Holcomb would battle for the second time this year on Friday night at Darner Field. This time, it meant a little more, as it was the Week 9 playoff game.
The first game would see Scott City win 14-3 over Holcomb on September 13. This game would see the kickoff temperature about 40 degrees cooler, and several different players on the field due to injuries, including different starters at quarterback.
Scott City would thwart a Longhorn second half rally and advance on to Regionals with a 35-18 win to improve to 7-2 on the season. Holcomb would end their season at 4-5.
