GCCC Board of Trustees to Hold Special Meetings

[Garden City, KS] April 21, 2020 – The Garden City Community College Board of Trustees will convene for two special back-to-back meetings on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, via Zoom. 

The first meeting, which will begin at 12:30 P.M., concerns the approval of a contract with the State of Kansas regarding use of GCCC’s Residential Life facilities.

The second meeting will immediately follow the first. The purpose of the special meeting will be for the consideration and approval of a settlement agreement in a pending federal district court lawsuit.

The Board will first recess into an executive session with its attorney for the purpose of discussing pending litigation. Following the executive session, the Board will reconvene into open session. It is anticipated the Board will approve a settlement agreement. The Board Chairperson will issue a statement following approval of the settlement agreement.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, meetings of the GCCC Board of Trustees are being held virtually, in compliance with guidelines set forth by the Kansas Attorney General’s Office.
