Dr. M.E. Niedens, age 88, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on January 6, 1932, in Dighton, Kansas, the son of Johnnie A. And Martha E. Bathurst Niedens. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1996, he was owner and operator of Niedens Chiropractic Clinic in Scott City, Kansas until his retirement in 2014.
He was a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include One Sister – Alverta D. Fiscus of Rolla, Missouri, Two Nieces – Dawn L. Milner of Derby, Kansas, Johnnie B. Jost of Dugway, Utah, Three Nephews – Maurice D. Niedens II of Round Rock, Texas, James M. Fiscus of Overland Park, Kansas, Jerald E. Fiscus of Olympia, Washington, Five Great Nieces – Moira L. Fiscus of Olympia, Washington, Aurora Milner Yontz of Derby, Kansas, Rebecca Jost of Arlington, Virginia, Jennifer Jost of Seattle, Washington, Alma Jo Fiscus of Overland Park, Kansas, and Seven Great Nephews – Justin D. Niedens of San Antonio, Texas, Matthew J. Niedens of Erie, Colorado, Skylar Milner of Derby, Kansas, Adam Jost of Dugway, Utah, Scott Jost of Dugway, Utah, Colin Fiscus of Overland Park, Kansas, and Josiah Fiscus of Overland Park, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, and Two Brothers – Melvin A. Niedens and Maurice D. Niedens.
Due to the current virus situation, a Graveside Service will be held at a later date and time.
Interment will be in the Dighton Cemetery in Dighton, Kansas.
