GWAC releases All-League Basketball team

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–As the basketball season has come to a close for the Great West Activities Conference schools, the 2021 GWAC All-League selections for basketball have been released by the conference.

Starting off with the boys, as Cimarron and Hugoton had four players selected to the all-league teams, while Colby, Holcomb and Ulysses each had three. Hugoton won the GWAC title this season for the third straight year, and advance to the Class 3A State Tournament, before falling in the quarterfinals.

On the girls side, Goodland would have the most selections with five, Hugoton had four selections and Colby had three. Hugoton went 6-0 on GWAC play, earning them the league title. They would make it to the state semi-finals, before falling Thursday night to place third in Class 3A.
