Michael Terrance Calihan age 61, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born May 22, 1950 at Topeka, Kansas the son of Ray H. & Harriet Roselle (Yakle) Calihan, Jr. |

Mike lived in Garden City most of his life and was a 1968 graduate of Garden City High School and attended Garden City Community College. He was a carpenter-builder and during his career he supervised the erection of several prominent structures in Garden City. He also was the proprietor of Calihan Liquor Store. Mike enjoyed bird hunting and playing golf. Mike was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Garden City. |

Survivors include his father & step-mother, Ray H. “Pat” Jr. & Lillian Claire Calihan of Gold Canyon, Arizona; three sisters, Catherine Sue Vincent of Elizabeth, Colorado, Janice Lea Williams of Tempe, Arizona, Boni Lynn Calihan of Wichita, Kansas; step-brother, Rudy G. Valenzuela of Kansas City, Missouri; and step-sister, Robin Lynn Valenzuela of Garden City, Kansas. |

Verna M. Jibben, 64 of Garden City, Kansas died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born April 6, 1947 in Pueblo, Colorado the daughter of Mary Ann Allen. |

Verna grew up and lived most of her life in Garden City, Kansas. She attended Garden City schools. Verna worked most of her life as a homemaker and a cook in various restaurants. She enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. |
|
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Jibben of Weaverville, California and Jay Jibben of St. Joseph, Missouri; eight daughters, Mary Varela of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tammy Harris of California, Cheryl Bosnick of Joplin, Missouri, Janelle Torres of Garden City, Kansas, Jennifer Jibben of Garden City, Kansas, Ramona Escobedo of Garden City, Kansas, Tonya Carter of Deerfield, Kansas, & Alicia Delgado of Garden City, Kansas; two sisters, Leatha Curnett of Wichita, Kansas and D.J. Curnett of Joplin, Missouri; 39 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. |

Anna Juno, 93 of Garden City, Kansas died Thursday, February 1, 2012 at Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City, Kansas. She was born December 6, 1918 in Barton County, Kansas near Olmitz the daughter of Albert & Julia (Kittle) Schneider. Anna grew up near Olmitz and attended Olmitz schools. On August 6, 1940, she married Frank A. Juno in Olmitz, Kansas. They lived in Olmitz until the 1950’s when they moved to LaCrosse, Kansas. They later moved to Garden City, Kansas in 1994 and have lived in Garden City since. A homemaker and farm wife, Anna enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and playing the piano and organ. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church of Garden City, Kansas. |

Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Frank who died on January 16, 1997. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Ann Juno; a son, Gene F. Juno; and a sister, Fannie Carter. |

John E. Kossuth III, age 45, died in Hugoton, Kansas. He was born June 24, 1966 in Hugoton, Kansas, the son of John Kossuth Jr. and Therlene (Johnson) Kindsvater. |

John grew up in Hugoton and Ulysses; graduating from Ulysses High School in 1984. A carpenter, after high school he worked for Grant County Implement, camper division. After living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for 21 years, John moved back to Hugoton in June 2011. He enjoyed listening to blues music, and was a DJ for Toys for Tots in Ulysses. |

Survivors include his step daughter, Sharon Barnett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; step grandson, Austin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; father, John Kossuth Jr. of Ottawa, Kansas; his mother, Therlene Kindsvater of Hugoton, Kansas; grandmother, Zelma Kossuth of Hugoton, Kansas; uncle, Tommy Johnson; aunts, Mary Coker and husband Ben, Martha Arange, Kay McLain and husband David; and numerous cousins. |

Eudine Lott, age 77, of Ulysses, Kansas died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born May 5, 1934 in Hall County, Texas, the daughter of Julius and Lucille (Painter) Gable. |

Eudine graduated from Memphis High School in Memphis, Texas and attended West Texas State and South Plains Jr. College. Eudine married James L. Lott Jr. on January 17, 1953 in Memphis, Texas. Eudine has lived in Ulysses since November 1978. She worked in the collections department at Grant County Bank. Eudine enjoyed playing Bridge. |

She is survived by one son, David Lott of Garden City, Kansas; two daughters, Judi McAnally of Bakersfield, California and Jane Leitheiser of Ulysses, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Adam, Morgan, Matthew, and Maggie Lott, Emily Johnson, Travis McAnally, Jenny, Sara and Annie Leitheiser; five great-grandchildren. |
