Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–For many years, Scott City Beaver Football has enjoyed a rich and time honored tradition of success. To celebrate the pride, honor and tradition of Scott City Beaver Football, renowned artist Jerry Thomas has created his first bronze sculpture entitled “Tradition”. This wonderful sculpture is dedicated to the memory of Ryan Haxton by his parents, Rod and Kathy Haxton. Ryan was an inspiration to all who knew him and a huge fan of Scott City Beaver Football. On Friday, September 14, at 6 pm, a special presentation and unveiling ceremony will be held prior to the Scott City Beavers first home game vs the Holcomb Longhorns. The ceremony will take place at the beautiful new football field house at Darner Stadium. The public is invited to join and help celebrate “Tradition”.
