WICHITA, Kan. (AP) – Kansas farmers have begun seeding the 2013 winter wheat crop amid a grim fall harvest of other major crops in the state. Agriculture officials reported yesterday that two percent of the state’s winter wheat crop had been planted by Sunday. Growers also are harvesting their drought-stressed crops, with about 41 of the corn acreage now cut.
