No. 3 Kansas State Dispenses No. 14 Texas Tech

Manhattan, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Heisman front-runner Collin Klein was 19-of-26 for 233 yards and two passing yards, and also ran for 83 yards with two rushing scores, to lead the third-ranked Kansas State Wildcats past No. 14 Texas Tech 55-24 in front of 50,766 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. K-State trailed Tech 7-3 after the first quarter. After a Red Raider field goal to make it 10-3 with 12:37 left in the game, the Wildcats scored 52 of the next 66 points of the game. They would take a 13-10 lead at the break, and outscored Texas Tech 42-14 in the second 30 minutes. Kansas State had 407 yards in the final three quarters, and were outgained by the Red Raiders 442-426. The Wildcat defense forced three turnovers, including a pick-six by linebacker Arthur Brown. Kansas State (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) hosts Oklahoma State Saturday night at 7 pm, while Texas Tech (6-2, 3-2) hosts Texas Saturday.
