Michael P. Beck, 66 of Garden City, Kansas died Monday, September 23, 2013 at his home in Garden City. He was born September 4, 1947 in Elgin, Illinois the son of Paul & Ada (Doiel) Beck.

Michael grew up in Elgin, Illinois. He served in the United States Army from July 67 until September 1970 during the Vietnam War. After the service he returned to Elgin. He worked in Elgin for a short time before moving to Janesville, Wisconsin where he began to work for Janesville Products. He moved to Burns Flat, Oklahoma where Michael worked as Plant Manager for Janesville Products.

He moved to Garden City in the late 1990’s and has lived in Garden City since.

In the early 1970’s, Michael married Cherise Yvonne Clements in Elgin, Illinois. She survives.

Other survivors include a sister Robin Loveless of Stillman Valley, Illinois. Michael is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to service time September 28, 2013 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Fr. Charles Seiwert officiating.

Interment: at a later date at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Ft. Dodge.
