Scott J. Gonzales

Scott J. Gonzales, 36 died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Pratt Regional Medical Center in Pratt, Kansas. He was born February 22, 1977 in Lakin, Kansas the son of Joe & Tina (Lopez).

Scott lived most of his life in Garden City where he attended Garden City schools. He later moved to Pratt, Kansas in June 2011 and has lived in Pratt since. Scott worked as an oil rig operator for American Well Service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

On July 13, 2013, Scott married Eve Nowak in Zenda, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Klasee Gonzales of the home and Kaylee Gonzales of the home; two sons, Kadin Gonzales of the home and Gabriel Gonzales of Garden City; two other daughters; his parents, Joe & Tina Gonzales of Garden City; a sister, Stephanie Gonzales of Garden City; his grandparents, Ralph & Nettie Lopez of Deerfield, Ks. and Mary Gonzales of Kansas City, Kansas; and his father&mother-in-law Eugene & Pam Nowak of Zenda, Ks.

Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday , at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City Fr. Charles Seiwert as Celebrant.

Interment: A private family burial will take place at a later date.

A vigil service and rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City.

The family requests memorials given to the Scott Gonzales Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
