Broncbusters Improve To 5-2 With Win Over Lamar 89-75

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Garden City Community College (5-2) used a 19-3 run through a seven minute stretch midway through the first half and never lead by less than nine in beating Lamar (2-8) 89-75.  The Busters Jeremy Wilson scored 20 points in hitting 11 of 12 free throws from the line.  June Johnson added 16 going 4-of-5 from the three point line.  The Busters shot 9 of 15 from three for 60 percent. Five Broncbusters reached double figures in scoring. Tiwian Kendley scored 22 in the loss for Lamar.

GCCC has won two straight overall and snaps a two game losing streak at home.    The Busters host the Thanksgiving Classic Friday against Cole College.  Tip-off is at 7:30pm
