Busters introduce new women’s soccer coach

Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-You can call 2013 the year of transition for the Garden City women’s soccer program. Head Coach Ky Thornberry resigned a day before the season started, moving Hector Martinez into the interim spot. From there, there were plenty of bumps along the way. 

A one-win campaign isn’t exactly what the brass was looking for, but Martinez did the best job he could knowing the limited amount of time he had to implement his system. 

In steps Chuck Long, who has international coaching experience in one of the most powerful soccer nations in the world: Brazil.
