Dodge City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-No one in the Jayhawk Conference expected much out of Dodge City. After all, the Conquistadors were coming off their second winless season in three years. 

But in stepped first-year coach Gary Thomas and a stud-filled recruiting class anchored by defensive tackle Terrell Clinkscales, who over the weekend committed to play football at the University of Nebraska.
