Julie Kramer
Julie Kramer, age 61, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Manor Care of Topeka in Topeka. She was born February 27, 1952 at Ransom, the daughter of Hugo & Alice (Hilmes) Kraus. Julie married Marvin Kramer on December 16, 1972 at Ransom.
Julie graduated from Ransom High School and received her Associates Degree from Dodge City Community College and worked at Skaggs Motor Company there. She and her husband moved to Hays where she worked at Frontier Ford and Standish Ford. In 1980, they moved to Garden City where she has been the controller at Burtis Motor Company for 32 years. Her special interest was her dogs and cats and feeding the birds and squirrels. Julie was a member of St Mary Catholic Church of Garden City. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 Brother- Father David Kraus.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Kramer of their home; 2 daughters, Jamie & Keenan Cook of Topeka, Molly Kramer of Topeka; 2 grandsons, Zachary Cook of Topeka, Garrett Cook of Topeka; 4 Brothers Michael & Mary Kraus of Ransom, John & Susan Kraus of Ransom, Patrick & Kay Kraus of Ransom, Mark Kraus of Ransom; 3 sisters, Nancy Foust of Victoria, Jeanette & Fred Flax of Ransom, and Annette & Brian Lang of Solomon.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Garnand Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at St Mary Catholic Church with Father Charles Seiwert officiating.
Interment: Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron.
Vigil service will be held at 7:30 PM on Tuesday at St Mary Catholic Church.
Memorials maybe given to Broncbuster Athletic Association in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
