Dean L. Ward, age 56, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at his home in Dighton. He was born April 28, 1957 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Oliver Walter & Bera Lu (Crossen) Ward. Dean married Lisa Marie Parks on June 25, 1998 in Denver, Colorado,
Dean was born and raised in Denver. He worked for the Colorado Department of Corrections for 29 years. Dean retired and in August of 2003, he moved his family to Dighton. He then went to work for Lane County Feeders, Garden City Coop and was currently working at the Farmer’s Oil. Dean enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid hunter. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Justin Ward and 1 sister, Ranee Ward
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Ward of Dighton; 1 daughter, Jessica Ward of Healy; 3 sons, James Ward of Dighton, Joe Ward of Dighton, Jason Ward of Dighton, 1 Granddaughter Madison Paris of Healy.
Memorial Service: 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 01, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Dighton with Pastor Danny Parker officiating.
Interment: Private Family Burial at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the Dean Ward Memorial Fund in care of Boomhower Funeral Home of Dighton.
