Multiple Car Accident Kills Three in Northwest Kansas

Rexford, KS (westernkansasnews.com) High winds and low visibilities resulted in an eleven car pileup Thursday afternoon on US Highway 83 two mile west of Rexford in NW Kansas.  Three people died in the wrecks including 51 year old Leonard Breeden of Colby, 57 year old James Perrott of Perryton, Texas and 66 year old Jerold Lamb of Florissant, Colorado.  KDOT spokesman Kirk Hutchinson knows that high winds can make driving dangerous.

The weather forced KDOT to close down several roads Thursday afternoon, but were reopened late Thursday night.
