Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Just three weeks removed from a heart attack and two weeks from returning to the job, State Representative Russ Jennings of Lakin says he feels great. Jennings knows that feeling is connected to living a healthier lifestyle.
Jennings is keeping his eye on one bill designed to help children who are victims of sexual assault.
This bill points to teachers as the first line of defense against this crime.
Jennings also has some concerns about a bill that would restrict the amount of time a court has to make a decision to 180 days once all the evidence is heard.
Jennings will be one of the representatives attending the first legislative forum sponsored by the Garden City Chamber of Commerce. The event is Saturday morning at 10 from St. Catherine Hospital.
