Henry Sanchez
Henry Sanchez, age 69, died Monday February 17, 2014 at Denver City, Texas. He was born November 15, 1944 in Eden, Texas, the son of Rodrigo and Matilda (Garcia) Sanchez. Henry married Enedina Flores on April 25, 1966 in Lovington, New Mexico.
Henry had been a resident of Lakin, Kansas since 1968. He enjoyed listening to country music, spending time with his family and his profession of truck driving. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-Lily Solis and two sons- Henry Sanchez Jr. and Leroy Sanchez.
Survivors include his wife, Enedina Sanchez of the home; daughters, Eva Zapata of Deerfield, KS, Nancy Maestas of Denver, CO, Melody Lucero of Buffalo, OK; one son; brother, Manuel Sanchez of Brady TX; sisters, Rachael Rocha of Denver City, TX, Rosa Lopez of Denver City, TX, Julia Chatham of Denver City, TX, Monica Casas of Denver City, TX; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Mike Helms officiating.
Interment: Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, KS.
Rosary service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
