Education Officials Play Waiting Game Too

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Members of the legislature have good company when it comes to waiting for the Kansas Supreme Court decision on school funding. Superintendents like Doctor Rick Atha at USD 457 in Garden City are as well.

Atha believes a quality education comes from getting a great staff and within the current budget the district has had to cut some corners.

Atha says the last time school funding was tied up in the courts nine years ago it took until June to get a decision.
