Jennings Positive About Resolving School Funding Issue

Lakin, KS (westernkansasnews.com) After last Friday’s decision from the State Supreme Court that the legislature needs to re-work their model for funding education.  State Representative Russ Jennings of Lakin has been highly involved to find out what we do next.

In many ways the decision is not as bad as it seems.

After meeting with both sides of the issue Jennings says you will not believe the amount of money that is wanted by some of the plaintiffs in addition to what they will probably get.

Jennings would prefer the focus be on more obtainable goals like reducing the number of students in each classroom.
