Garden City Hires New Zoo Director

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) After an extensive search since former Lee Richardson Zoo director Kathy Sexson announced her retirement at the end of March, Garden City officials have hired interim director Kristi Newland to the position permanently as Sexson’s replacement.  Newland has thirty years of experience and was the zoo’s General Curator since 2006.  We’ll have much more on this story in the coming days.
