Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-When Garden City offensive lineman Dontavious Blair inked with Tennessee, he had little idea that a familiar face would be joining him.

A few months later, his offensive-line coach Merci Falaise announced he’s taken an assistant coaching position with the Volunteers.

“We appreciate the job Coach Falaise has done for us at Garden City Community College,” the school said in a statement. “We wish him the best of luck at Tennessee.  He will do a fine job. The search for a new coach is currently underway.”

Falaise is known for his recruiting connections in the southern part of the country, which help land players like former quarterback Nick Marshall and current signal caller Makail Grace.
