Wichita, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The fight against Common Core standards had to take a back seat this year to the education funding issue.
Megan King with Kansans against Common Core says despite the setback in getting their message out parents will not give up so easily.
When the merits of common core were finally debated before a legislative committee this spring there were a number of people opposed. King says the problem was each speaker only had ninety seconds to articulate their arguments.
King says her side would have liked to have more time, but the rules were set by committee chairwoman Kasha Kelley of Ark City.
